HISTORY OF SOUTH HOTLINE

In the times of early 1960s to late 80s, Rasta Peth area in Pune City was known as mini-Madras, the reason was majority of the residents living there were of South Indian origin. In 1960 Late. Chandranath Gayadutta Shukla started a South Indian Food Products shop in Pune Rasta Peth area named “Hari Om Coffee Corner”. Manufacturing of south Indian masalas like Sambar Powder, Rasam Powder Milagai Podi, Puruppu Podi etc and grinding Filter Coffee was done in home by Late Mrs Bindumati Chandranath Shukla. Which was then sold in our shop.

In 1990 the firm was later handed over to their daughter-in-Law Mrs. Bharati Rajan Shukla and son Mr. Rajan Chandranath Shukla. At this time the firm was renamed to “HOTLINE”. The thought behind the name Hotline was basically a connection direct from Makers to end Users. Currently the 3rd Generation is in management of HOTLINE. Mr. Rohaan Rajan Shukla (MBA) is Managing Director in the firm.

*Quality over Quantity: The vision of the founder Late Mr. Chandranath Gayadutta Shukla was to establish a food brand which will provide high standard of quality and hygiene similar to what we expect from homemade food for our family. From the beginning our main focus was to make high quality food products made from 1st grade raw materials and manufactured in a clean and hyenic environment. We have been following this policy and it has helped us gain appreciation from our customers and build a brand of trust over the years.
