Rice appalams are traditionally prepared with raw dough made of rice flour, sago (javarisi) and green chillies. The smooth dough is then divided into small balls and steam cooked. The cooked dough is now rolled out into tiny, translucent discs and dried.
Appalam is a crispy thin flat bread or cracker eaten. its also eaten in different parts of India. These have high sodium content and nutritional value and are made with healthy vegetable oils. Can be enjoyed with assortment of pickles, sauces.
